	Member News OFS Portal is elected to the Executive Committee of EESPA by OFS Portal HOUSTON (Dec 16, 2011) With the European Commission expressing a strong desire for increased adoption of e-Invoicing in Europe and the recent European Union’s Committee for Standardization (CEN) work on both a Interoperability Agreement and a Code of Practice, has spurred the Service Providers within Europe to try and have a unified voice within the broader European arena and specifically to the European Commission. Based on work within CEN as well as with its global trading partners, OFS Portal, through its European representative Dave Wallis, has been a part of the core team of companies constructing a trade association called EESPA, European E-invoicing Service Providers Association. This is a pan –European, not for profit trade association. OFS Portal has become a member and at the inaugural general meeting in Brussels in December Dave Wallis was nominated and elected to a seat on the Executive Committee, based on his broad experience in the formation and running of the various associations and his deep understanding of the subject. “This position will allow OFS Portal’s global experience to be leveraged for the benefit of the European community”, said Dave Wallis. “The service providers are key players in increasing the adoption of e-Invoicing within Europe and with Europe’s global trading partners.
